Time Trial races at Ultra Nightmare difficulty

Post » Mon May 06, 2013 7:48 pm

Awesome DLC, but “Time Trial” races are just impossible to beat in Ultra Nightmare mode. Not “hardly” or “nearly impossible”. Tried many times but always got 2 to 10 seconds out of time to qualify. Even more frustrating than “Just a Flesh Wound”. Hardly finished only the very first “Time trial” race in Wellspring on a fully upgraded buggy. Resorted to a trick in order to get “Obsessive Compulsive” achievement: lowered difficulty after finishing campaign to beat those races. Does anybody made it honest way?

Sorry for bad English.

I've beaten the time trials in Ultra Nightmare.
It is really really difficult for me though, lol. Here I was thinking they had made the racing way too easy, which it is, yet the time trials are seriously difficult.

I almost make it, all the time. I kept being off by not even a whole second

Make sure you obtain all performance related car upgrades. I thought it's impossible as well when i tried Durar's Time Trial without any upgrades. But after upgrading tires, engine, booster and such, I was able to beat time trials quite easily. So you need to beat other types of racing first.

They have reduced the allowable time to complete the trials.

I ended up having to completely upgrade the cars to go back and finish the trials.

I do know that you cannot run into anything by accident or miss a curve turning too wide or taking a non-linear path.

Basically, It's ballstothewalls nonstop wide open haul a$$ in as straight a line as possible.

Even then, I cruised in on average only within one second of the trial time.

It's still tight and it will definitely make you focus a LOT more......lol

Cheers mates
