Personally I think the developer must force the player to only be able to carry 2 weapons, one of them is a side arm (handgun, revolver, ....etc) the other can be a Shotgun, there shouldn't be any other heavy weapons, no semi automatic rifles, no RPGs, no sniper rifles, ...........etc, I want to feel vulnerable not a badazz.
As for Med. Kits one shouldn't be able to carry 20 of those or something, we need desperation, of course we can find later a Med. Pack that enables us to carry extra 2 or 3 Med. Kits, but over all it should be limited.
Now the hard part the inventory, old Resident Evil titles & Dead Space titles use the magical box, where you store your stuff and be able to access it from anywhere and it doesn't really make sense, I hope the developers can find another way other than the magic box, in my opinion do away with any sort of inventory, we come upon a weapon, ammo or health and it is always a choice, should I take it ?!, or leave it and never be able to get it again, do I need it ?!, cause I can't store it in magical box so I will always be worried what to take or leave.
I don't know if The Evil Within will be like Resi1&2 where it is set in one place or like RE4 where you are moving forward, I suspect the later, but still I don't want to be able to carry on an arsenal of weapons and ammo, we need Survival Horror not Action Horror.
what are your thoughts people ?!
