Bethesda to reveal new game tommorrow

Post » Tue May 07, 2013 8:21 pm

Bethesda never announced a new game at E3. Well, maybe they did in the 90s, not sure about that

Most of their own game announcements in the past decades just been a teaser image saying that there will be a large article about the game in the next Game Informer issue released in a few days. No big event or anything like that. Well, Skyrim was announced at the Spike VGA a few weeks before the next Game Informer, but both Oblivion and Fallout 3 had very quiet announcements, not being at any events.

IMO E3 2011 before Skyrim came out was pretty big, considering the different games that were shown that year and the following year. But ya, this year will be something else since the spotlight is on the consoles now!

I wish I was here for the whole "1 letter a day" tease on the website that eventually spelled "Oblivion".

At least I got to see what it was like via http://web.archive.org/web/20040904062553/http://www.elderscrolls.com/splash/index_07.htm! :D

How did Bethesda announce Fallout 3?

BGS was just Bethesda Softworks in the early 90's IIRC, and made Terminator games. It does look a bit Terminator-esqueue, doesn't it?

In order of things I think it is, most likely to least:

New IP

Terminator

Quake

Prey 2

I'm hoping Prey 2. Looked cool when first shown.

Certainly wouldn't mind Fallout 4.
