Good affordable suits.

I have been wanting a suit for a long time, All the ones I see are so expensive. Obviously I could never afford an Armani suit but what are some cheaper more affordable brands that don't look so cheap? Maybe 200-250 bucks? I doubt I could afford to get one specifically tailored to me, but what if I bought it in peices? Like I buy the pants one week, the jacket another etc? Am I better off just buying it all at once?

There's some pretty cheap suits on display in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlPjxz4LGak

More to the point, try St Vinnies or Red Cross if your looking for cheap suits. They might not be in the best of repair, or be a fancy pants brand, but it will be a suit.

I just want to look nice sometimes. I won't get a used suit though.

Why not? There really isn't a difference (unless it's literally falling apart) and even if it is it is usually cheaper to repair it than to buy a new one

If you live in the states and have a Men's Wearhouse in your area, give them a look. They have some in your price range and it's been my experience that they tailor it on-site.

Edit: I kinda hedged on the tailoring piece. It's been a long time since I bought one.
