Are there raids, confirmed?

Post » Tue May 21, 2013 11:21 am

Hey Guys!

After researching end-game content there is mixed discussions on the raiding in TESO. As a hardcoe raider, and guild master, I'm interested to know if anyone knows, for certain, what's happening with raids. Now, by raid, I mean 10+ players in an instanced dungeon fighting scripted boss'. If anyone knows if this is confirmed, that'd be amazing.

Thankyou,

Vuxadin.

ESO's raids are called Adventure Zones. They are not calling them raids because well we all know when you change the name of something it totally makes it better... Seriously though, a big concern for many(ie all) raiders is whether or not these Adventure Zones will offer the proper serious raid content we enjoy or if it'll just be ultra-casual mode zerg fest. They also won't be available at launch. So take that as you will. Personally as a raider as well, I'll give them about two Months after launch but if there's no raids or no real raids at that point I'll likely be moving on and doubt I'm alone in that sentiment.

Sadly, I think I agree. Hopefully they understand that quite a large amount of MMO players now are raiders, PvE nowadays is practically raids as the majority of PvE enthusiasts are 'raiders'. If they don't provide 'raids' they aren't really providing PvE content, atleast not at an end-game standard. These Adventure Zones sound something like rifts in RIFT and sadly they just weren't good enough to keep hardcoe guilds interested. I just hope that Bethesda realise that raiders are looking to TESO and they would do well if they provide. :)

if u ask me this will be solo pve (leveling solo) and mass pvp on end game just think something like GW 2 there will be no raid conntent in this game if u ask me this is same if they say to pvp players "heyy guys you can level your character in pvp battlegrounds all the way to max level 50 but after you hit level 50 you cant pvp any more"

i think without raid content this game will be dead soon after launch

This thread should die... Not another one of these. I think it's clear to everyone (Including ZOS, at least by this point) that max level PvE content that promotes a challenge is important. In fact it should be pretty clear that it's a standard in most MMOs. I really don't understand the level of worry people have over something that is so extremely likely to be implemented in the game. Its obvious any MMO would flop without it today. Asking the question is fine, but not starting another flame war about the importance of raiding. Its been beaten to death and there are so many topics about it.

Zos really needs to prove to me that they "know what endgame players want" after the bs they have said.

They said for adventure zones for PVE, but for endgame progression they are doing what Darkage of Camelot did. Its focused around Cyrodiil threw PVP and PVE combined iwth PVP. You will obtain ranks and gain abilities and passives in the AVA skill trees. Fighter, Seigemaster, Warlord. If it is like the DAOC system you will keep building and making your character better for years after max level and never hit that im finished wall. There will be everything in Cyrodiil, even dungeons that you can fight with enemy players over the treasures inside.

It looks as if the Fighter and Warlord skill trees will make you stronger in PVE is well.

Adventure Zones are nothing like the Rifts in Rift. Dark Anchors are like the Rifts in Rift, Adventure Zones no one can tell you anything about. If anyone tries to say one thing or another about AZ besides that they won't be in the game at launch are lying, unless they can show you a source. We know nothing about them, and probably won't learn more about them for awhile.
