Plans for your current consoles.

What are your plans for your current console?

Right now my plan for my Xbox 360 Is too continue on with it. Sure soon games will stop being made for it (I'm talking over years) but there will still be multiplayer/games I haven't played, as well as lowering prices for them. And once the online is cut off, I'll have my single player games and the always cheap mounting collection of unplayed ones.

Considering that I won't be getting any next gen consoles for another year or two, my plans have not changed. I've never sold any of my consoles or games before, so I doubt this time will be any different.

Not buying next gen systems:

1: No WiiU: Nintendo's is being a major a{beep} to a lot of people on YouTube and I won't support a company that steals a person's video (if they become a YouTube Partner) income, specially if that's person is a journalist trying to promote their products.

2: No Xbox 1: Restricting used games is a no go for me.

3: No PS4: See #2. I haven't heard anything solid about the PS4 but something tells me I'm just better off buying a PS3.

I'm considering getting a PS3 once it's gone down in price for the exclusives. I probably won't ever be getting a next-gen console unless something *really* good comes out for it.

well i probably won't get the new xbox until microsoft quits supporting hulu and netflix on the 360, then i'll probably get the xbox 1 or whatever. All my 360 does now is play minecraft and stream tv shows, when it can't do that i'll replace, but until then i'll keep it plugged in

I'll still use my PS3, and I still use my Wii when I eventually remember to pick it up from my mom's house. I still also use my PC when I can justify the time on any gaming whatsoever. And yeah, I'm just glad that while I've been thinking of getting a 360 finally, I haven't yet, so hopefully there'll be a price drop at some point. Hopefully. Who knows.

So far nothing looks very stimulating with the newest consoles; I haven't researched them in more depth yet, but I do have my gaming PC which I purchase most of my games for so that won't really change.

I haven't touched my Xbox 360 in over a year, but I'm waiting for Dark Souls 2 and GTA V for it. I'm actually considering going back to PS2 and get some good games for it, since I never got into PS2 gaming and I have one collecting dust somewhere. It's not because I didn't like it, but because I simply was occupied with the Gamecube back then.

So basically I need my 360 for Dark Souls and GTA V, while I'll be playing other games on PS2 and PC. I'm also hoping to get a good rig later, but I can't afford that now.

Staying with PC as my prime platform. And Xbox 360 as my second. Probably I will shift to PS4 in couple of years.

I'll let it sit on my shelf. I rarely use it, but do have a few games for it I'll probably want to play again in the future. Having made the switch to PC, I'm not interested in consoles anymore.

I genuinely wonder how many people are going to leave the next-gen console and go to PC. I did that halfway through the life of my Xbox 360. My current plan for my Xbox and PS3 are not changing. I don't see a need to get a new console. For some reason I like the Xbox One more than the PS4, but the weight that that holds is not a heavy burden on my current situation. I'll stick with PC as my primary and possibly get an Xbox One in 3-5 years.

I have a PS3, Wii and 360; and I still have several unplayed games left for the Wii (Pandora's Tower and others) and PS3 (Resonance of Fate and so on) so I will remain using those for some time.

Also, there are upcoming PS3 games I want to play too, like Killer Is Dead, Drakengard 3 and hopefully an english release of Yakuza 5.

I guess at some point I will get a Wii U and PS4, but before that happens their game libraries must get a fair share of games I want to play.

I won't. If I didn't get the consoles during this console generation, I would have missed some excellent games like Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Nier, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Uncharted 1-3, Lost Odyssey, Shadow Complex, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles and plenty of others. I am primary a PC gamer though.

Well, I just reverted back to PS2, so that will keep me occupied until GTAV comes out I guess...

I rarely play my 360 now that I have a PS2, as that's pretty much all I've been playing lately, but I'll hang on to my Xbox for Dark Souls 2 and Persona 5 (if it's released on 360) and for my older current gen games if I ever feel like playing them. Once games stop getting released for current gen consoles I'll upgrade my computer and internet connection so online DRM can stop making me want to bash my own head in. Then I'll sell my Xbox, and keep my PS2 and PC for all eternity.

DO IT! I actually bought a PS2 a few months ago along with the best games I could think of and I don't regret it.

Sticking with PC. Everything is business as usual, so the shock people are having about trading locks and whatnot are moot for PC users. We've had to deal with that for years.

Plus, My PC is still more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox 1, so getting either of them would literally be a downgrade. I just hope that now with the more uniform hardware, the inevitable PC ports won't svck as much.

Won't happen. The main bad thing why bad ports are bad ports are because they are designed for a controller and have very poor user interface and controls for a mouse & keyboard. And this will remain the same.

I don't understand why people buy a console/game, play until the next thing comes along, and then just sell the old thing. Why bot hold on to it? You'll have nostalgic feelings for it later, and when you're sixty, you could make a ton of money from selling those old things to collectors.

I probably won't get a PS4 until either KH3 or FFXVI is annouced/released. Then I will.

Start actually getting some games for my PS2, at the moment I have Destroy All Humans, both the Lego Star Wars games, some Crash Bandicoot racing game and LOTR: The Two Towers.

Going to keep and continue to use my:

Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2. Always a place for them.

No place for a PS4. Will make room for the Xbox One. Refuse to spend money and (much, much more importantly) valuable time upgrading my PC - done that four times and all four times the upgrades aren't enough to play the next new game that comes out; done with that.

I will! I'm planning on getting Nocturne for it first. I have been looking but I can't seem to find it anywhere right now.

I'm keeping my Xbox 360. But not my PS2. I got a PS1 and PS2 simulators on the PC for backup. (Main reason I'm not keeping the PS2 cause my mother wants it).

I'm not getting new console until they are cheap and only for Halo 5+6 most likely. Unless Halo 4-6 comes out for the PC like Halo 1-3 did.
