Recommend me your favorite game?

I recently bought Far Cry 3, Dead Space, Arkham Asylum, The Witcher 2, Bioshock, Bastion, Crono Trigger, and Dishonored. And sadly, with the exception of Dishonored, I found them all pretty damn boring. After feeling like I've wasted more money on games than I should have, so I thought I'd come here and beg for some recommendations. I see The Chronicles of Riddike is on sale on GOG, maybe that? I was also thinking of maybe Alan Wake for the 360. My laptop isn't the best and I try to avoid any AAA games after about '08-09ish.

I feel like I have played a lot of good games this year, but I've been on a bit of a slump for the past couple of months. Some of my favorite games that I've played this year are: Limbo, Monaco, Thirty Flights of Loving, To the Moon, Final Fantasy VII, The Walking Dead, Max Payne 3, Amnesia, Deus Ex 1 & 3.

I was thinking of maybe trying Final Fantasy 6 or 9?

Other than that some of my favorite games are: Morrowind, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Red Dead Redemption, Majora’s Mask, Fallout: New Vegas, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Portal 2, Half Life 2, Skyrim, Time Splitters 2, Max Payne, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Donkey Kong Country, Hitman: Blood Money, A Link to the Past.

I very much love Stealth, RPG, Indie, Story, Shooter, Horror, or any open world games pre-Skyrim.

I just feel extremely unlucky with my recent streak in video games lately. All came highly recommended by critics but just failed to get my attention in any way.

What would you recommend?

Dark Souls maybe? I only tried it due to hearing about it's difficulty but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy it despite the myriad problems with the pc port.

You found Far Cry 3 boring? I found Far Cry 2 boring. Try Call of Juarez Bound in Blood and Call of Juarez Gunslinger. I've never played. CoJ game and enjoying both of them at the moment.

Don't try Far Cry or Bioshock. They're overrated. Also, if you found Arkham Asylum, consolization has already stolen your soul.Your taste in gaming is lost. There is no hope left.
Prototype.
