Anyone else find it hard to get into ACIII?

Post » Fri May 31, 2013 5:52 pm

I just bought AC3 abd im finding it incredibly hard to get into it.

I loved the other installments in the series, especially 2, so much to the point that I would spend days trying to get100% complete.

In 3 im only a few hours in and I just feel disconnected. I dont know if it's the story or the characters but I just dont have that same feeling that 2 gave me.

I like the mechanics and the overall gameplay but there just isn't that special something that makes me wanna keep on playing.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I just the odd man out?

Any reasons why this is happening? Im curious as to what others opinions are on this game.

I assume you are talking about Assassin's Creed III, and I've had a similar experience. However, things get better. I don't want to spoil anything since you're only a few hours in, but try to struggle through a little more. Right now it doesn't feel very much like AC, but keep following the storyline and things will get better. They're still setting up the story at this point.

I cannot get through that game, I loved all the other ones, especially the first and second, but the third one is just really boring to me. I think it is because it is set in America, and as an American I find that boring.

At first I was a little put off by it as I watched some lets plays... but I think I would enjoy playing as Connor.

Yeah it is a bit dull. The DLC was loads better but even that was average and not worth the money. It didn't add that much. There was like one new weapon. The next AC looks good. Hopefully they'll pull the series back with that.

The only thing I loved in ac3 was the naval missions I absolutely loved the naval missions.

As for Connor he ain't no Ezio.

Couldn't into the first two. I don't consider 'go collect a bunch of sh*t' inspired mission design.

Connor and Ezio ain't no Altair. I kid, but the naval missions didn't appeal to me mainly because they didn't make sense. We are supposed to be Assassins, not pirates.

I just got ACIII a few days ago, and I felt the same way in the beginning. Haytham and young Connor didn't interest me. But once Connor gets his robes, things start picking up.
