Off the shelf antibiotics?

Post » Tue Jun 04, 2013 2:26 pm

I was wondering if it is possible to buy prescription strength antibiotics without the prescription I know that I have an ear infection, I have them a lot because I have a tube in my right ear, if any water gets in an ear infection happens. I cant afford and don't want to go through the hassle of a doctor for something I already know about. So is it possible?

* opens trenchcoat *

Youse want the red ones or the yeller ones? The red'uns taste like Mike n' Ikes.

A lot of countries sell over-the-counter antibiotics, but I don't believe it's legal in the U.S.

No, and thank god. We already have enough problems with overuse and improper use of antibiotics. There are OTC ear drops for ear infections, but they're not antibiotics, and only treat the pain.

No. There are only OTC medicine with antimicrobic properties. But the core antibiotic groups are all on prescription.

Thankfully not. As well intended as your use may be, improper use has lead to bacteria becoming more and more resistant.
