Pretty sure Zenimax has stated a 'plan for release' in late 2013.

i realize this, but, as many others, im searching for any info i can get on eso, and if you cant be optimistic about he game, GET OF THE FORUMS. And for the part were you said this question has been asked multipule times i really didn't want to go searching through the 123 pages of forums.

Yes, we actually know that ESO is expected in late 2013 so no date in Q4 2013 would have been far fetched. However, no retailer will know about an actual release date until the day it is officially announced by ZOS, period.

Also 12/31/2013 is very unrealistic as an actual release date for ESO or any other big MMO title as they would never release the game on new years eve, neither in the christmas holidays. If anything ESO will release either before 12/20/2013 OR after 01/01/2014

Of course is utter rubbish. No one in the right mind would release a product on New Year's Eve left alone after the biggest shopping season of the year has ended.

It's also goes to show how moronic the people who decide on making these types of signs are, they couldn't just simply say "Late 2013", no, they need to put a date on it.

It's a placeholder date.

According to Amazon, Duke Nukem Forever would have been released 31/12/98, 31/12/99, 31/12/00, etc.

By choosing the last date of the year, when the official date is released, then they can change it. If they guessed and put an earlier date and then the game was announced for release for a month later than the guessed date , you'd just get people demanding to know why the games been delayed.

It'll be November or October. That's when the big games are sold, it's the prime fighting ground for those big IPs battling for the most holiday sales.

A hint for you my friend.

If you are looking for official information such as a release date on any game then go to the games official website. If a release date is actually set then you will see it there, so large that there is no way that you will miss it. You will also see it in any official video for the game. If you don't see a release on there, then you can be sure that no final dicission has been taken on the release date yet.

There is no release date yet, there will be an official announcenent when there is something to share.
