Technology is Amazing

How I love living in the future. There are some http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAFhkdGtHck (and no, I'm not talking about that hoax video that's been floated around endlessly.) Just imagine seeing some of this technology in films and later games in the years to come. Cannot wait!

And people say graphics aren't important to a game - perhaps true to an extent, but it all depends on what you use it for. Currently use of graphics technology has become stale and complacent, and hence no longer excites.

So, what amazing developments in technology have you discovered today?

Wow that's pretty stunning.

This is an interesting era to live in, with rapid technological advancement that keeps impressing us more and more. I wish I had something to share, but I can't think of anything right now. I'll definitely keep my eye on this thread, though.

It's true we are living in wonderful times, so many innovations.

The internet is as big a revolution as the printing press, when it comes to dissemination and organisation of knowledge.

Just image, when I was kid, if a question popped into my head about, say, brewing beer and types of beer, I would have to go to a library.

I'd use my Dewey Decimal magic and find a few meager articles and a book if I was lucky. If they had anything on it at all, a local library really can't contain that much information.

Now I just go to google and find more on any subject imaginable than I could absorb in days.

On a tangent, I do always think of the following when discussing this wonderful future we live in today:

Computer: This is your last chance to push the cancellation button.

Skroob: "Cancellation button?" Hurry!

Dark Helmet: Where is it? Where is it?

Colonel Sandurz: It's gotta be here!

[They open a housing, where the button has an "Out of Order" tag on it.]

Dark Helmet: Out of order?! Expletive! Even in the future, nothing works!
