Feeding Horses, Pretty cool Implementation

Post » Mon Jun 10, 2013 7:06 am

Recent Episode of ShoddyCast surprised me with the information they retrieved from the Germany Reveal for ESO. Apparently we'll be able to feed our mounts, horses, whatever.

I think this is a pretty cool thing.

Watch the whole thing, they give much more information that the one I just listed. Pretty cool stuff.

Yeah I thought it was an interesting topic too. We have a thread up about that video and I made a list of everything that was answered in that interview right here:

I thought it was a pretty decent interview overall and some new stuff came from it. I really want to know more about the horses though and if they are affected by what they instead instead of just how often you feed them.

Like if you give them a Nirnroot and poison them , do they die? Are they killable? Lol.

Leave your horse outside for a second, come back and its dead. LOL gosh that would svck.

I would rather they spent time developing the game engine, mechanics and content than a gimmick/chore. I would rather let my horse die than spend time feeding it and steal a new one

Feeding horses? Hey, why not? I think it's a cool little idea for role-playing purposes. :)

I like. It's encouraging to see them wanting to go further than just implement features that other MMO's do.

It'll be pretty awesome if you can go as far as rearing a foal. I want some Final Fantasy 7 nostalgia! ^_^

It's pretty cool knowing that they are adding a lot of small features into ESO like feeding your horse. The only problem I would have with this is if your horse dies from not feeding it enough, but I doubt that'll be the case.

I also heard you can upgrade and customize them and stable them, I'm so happy there doing more with mounts then just a simple summon and dismiss.

Ummm.............

Serious? Guess what, this is content. They have their game engine as well. and most of the mechanics are already in place.

Tell me about it. I was just waiting for them to tell us to "catch 'em all".

Nah, MMOs need trivial things too. If they're a good company they should put plenty of effort into all.

im intrigued mounts should be more then ok her is your lvl 20 one then you lvl 40 now heres your 80. I wish more devolpers would go the route of AOC with quest lines to raise them and feed them. Having abilities on mounts is awesome as well.I am curious to see how they could expand on this and create some attachment with your mount instead of it being a disposable skateboard.
