A third game, called Mercs, Inc. was planned. However, Pandemic was shut down before it could be realized. Supposedly, it's still in development, but there's really no information about it. Even if it does get released, it'll be more EA than Pandemic, and we all know what that'll likely mean. A shame...the first game was awesome, there were just so many ways to wreck things up. And its potential will never be realized.
