*Technical : woops, what a typo...*

Hello everyone, I have a little technical query that I hoped someone could help me with.

I have some iLuv Cube speakers, which are USB powered and whose only connection is USB. I have an iPod touch. What I want to do is play music from my iPod on these USB speakers independent of a Laptop. Is there any way at all, any apparatus I could use, to have a split connection that would enable me to both power the speakers from socket via USB, and also to connect them to my iPod with an audio jack?

Or is this impossible?

Unfortunately, don't think its possible because the speakers need a power source.

The only thing that might work is a female usb to 2 x male usb adapter; an usb ac adapter; female usb to male 3.5mm adapter.... However I doubt that mess would work.
