in May of 2012 it was indicated to us that dedicated ESO forums would be created on a separate site "in the near future" I was hopeful that would remove a lot of inflammatory posts from Single player fans venting anger that an Elder Scrolls mmo was being created. That seems to have mostly subsided, after a year, but I see a new rift opening in the community to replace it. One between PC players and Console Players.

With game versions being segregated between platforms would it not be best to segregate forums as well? Support issues as well as patch notes and general game balance will be different between the platforms. The needs of each community are different to some extent and I would hope the forums are separated as well. Not just about keeping the infighting down but also meeting the needs of multiple player bases operating on multiple platforms.

Any idea of when and if such changes could be expected? If its not until release just let us know please because I am running on the assumption that it was the near future based on the Sticky in this forum Over One Year Ago. Is it just around the corner or is that old sticky no longer valid with respect to its time stamp?

There's already some official forums, they're just hidden because I assume they're only beta forums right now. When the game is more opened/launched, they'll probably open the forums up to everyone on the TESO website.

beta forums are always locked, and I don't expect to see any open beta until spring/summer 2014 about two weeks before launch.

We probably won't have access to the official forums until around then is what I'm saying. They already exist, we just don't have access.
