How will the chat system work on consoles? Obviously on PC/Mac you can type, and I would imagine they wouldn't require some kind of keyboard add-on for the console versions (though, maybe the game will come with one?). Will it be all voice based? I can imagine that being kind of chaotic with everyone yelling in trade chat or world chat assuming those exists. Will the PC/Mac versions be gimped as far as chat goes so that console players don't feel like they are getting a lesser version? For example, if the consoles will only support close range voice chat maybe the PC version won't support world or trade chats. In a lot of MMO's that have console version they tend to gimp the PC version one way or another so that console players don't feel like they are getting a lesser version, or at least that is what I hear from people and have experienced with DC Universe Online.

PC/Mac, X-Box and PS4 will all be on different mega servers, so no need to restrict PC/Mac in any way. Regarding how chat on a console will be done, I have sadly not seen any info

1. PC/Mac,XBox1 and PS4 Players won't play together. Every platform (PC+Max together) will have their own server.

2. Paul Sage said they are still working on it for console. They plan to implement kind of a ring-menu u can use when you hover over a player.

The PC will still use a classic chat-system and that won't change

Sorry, I'm not going to read through 200+ post threads to find specific information. Also, I never said nor implied anything about console players and PC/Mac players playing together so I am not sure where you guys are getting that from.
