Adventurers Pact

Post » Sun Jun 23, 2013 3:37 am

Hello! This is my first post on this forum and I heard you could go to other faction zones at level 50 but not see that other factions players. I've been thinking of a good way around that and here it is.

As we know, adventurers in tamriel, while yes they do avoid taxes, help out the world a lot. they bring gold sitting in dungeons back into the economy(as well as artifacts). they also clear dangerous, brigand infested dungeons. While yes they are sometimes troublesome, on a whole they're helpful to the provinces and alliances of tamriel. that's why this war could cause a problem for the people of tamriel. hence the adventurers pact as I'll call it. this pact could say that adventurers could travel between the provinces since obviously not ever adventurer is a soldier. on a minor note this could also allow people(npc's) of different provinces to live in other provinces.(say a high elf lives in high rock or something). this is my idea I wonder what you guys think.

Travel between the alliances and provinces is what I mean

NPC's of any race already live in other countries in Tamriel! You as a player character can visit/adventure in lands belonging to the other alliances without meeting other players when you reach level 50 (PvP is in Cyrodiil only), the NPC's you will meet you can do quests for!

look, they positively do not want players of different factions to play/speak/interact with each other. end of story.

First of all, welcome to the forums, here is your fishy-stick: http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg

Secondly, I like how you look at adventurers from an economic standpoint, very clever.

I personally do not understand why us as players cannot join any faction but NPCs seem to be able to roam freely. I am happy they gave us adventurers a little leway but it is far from ideal IMO. I think we must all be draftees in the military otherwise it wouldn't make sense. I hope this is something that is spelled out in-game.

As for not playing alongside other faction players in their lands, there is a technical reason for this. When you go to those other faction's areas, the content will be all scaled up to 50+. Therefore they separate the two 50+ populations from the 50- so that they could scale up the enemies without giving the 50- people a problem with 50+ mobs running around slaughtering them.

Now if they'd thought this through in the beginning and opened the factions up to all races then this might not have been an issue but sadly we're stuck in this middle ground.

I am glad however, there is cross-faction comms in Cyrodiil. Hopefully they keep that in and people don't start abusing it to a ridiculous degree. Trash-talking is part of war, and you can always kill the trash-talker, but if too many thin-skinned white-knights complain we will sadly lose such a dynamic element of war that could allow for espionage, spying and reaching peace within Cyrodiil, lol!

I like the idea a bit, and wish they had let us choose between soldier or freelancer, but that's just how it is and I understand why they did it. They want us to have some faction pride, and that's something I miss from games with competing factions.

Yeah,I guess it has to be done for gameplay but that's why I think you should be able to go to other faction territories before level 50,though something tell me that is (probably) set in stone.
