So I've seen a lot of videos and things that were based on first person gameplay, is the game still going to be erm.. "viable" when plaid in 3rd person?
Just wondering as I get motion sickness from 1st person games and I REALLY want to play this thing when it comes out.

The game was originally made for 3rd person view. They are just adding the option for 1st person.

If they are going to allow both 3rd and 1st person view, they need to allow both to be equal in capability.

If anything, I guess 3rd person will take the high road on FPV, especially in PvP. It'll be fun to see how it's treated/works though.

Actually, most people are questioning the exactly opposite of what you've asked.

Yeah, some people are wishing the game was 1st person only. I'm guessing that those people don't realize that some people literally get sick playing games that way.

Yeah I've missed out on so many great games...

I mean I get their point sort of, The Elder Scrolls were 1st person only for the most part, but still... Not sure how that would work for an MMO, and I know I'd hate it.

Why would anyone want first person only OR 3rd person only? Obviously both is better, whether you use one or the other or both like a normal person. I don't get people who say "I play in first person". I change literally every 25 seconds or so. To me the "change view" button is a "look closer" button that is utilised frequently in action, even mid sword swing sometimes. I'm also constantly zooming in and out on 3rd person, always changing my perspective. I can't imagine locking myself into one view permanently. If it was 1st person I'd feel claustrophobic and vulnerable to being blindsided like I had backwards binoculars strapped to my face, 3rd person I'd feel too far away to react in close quarter combat. I'm changing all the time to see as much as possible and be as unhindered as possible.

I agree that there should be both, but hopefully both very usable. For example 3rd person in the last Elder Scrolls was just not usable, sadly.

As for switching, I wish I could, but as I already said, some of us get motion sickness from 1st person, so it is a big no-no.
