I had one finally coming in not too long ago, and of course it hurt. I thought I needed to go to the dentist but decided not to since the pain has stopped for a while now.

That's nice. My wisdom teeth showed up quite nicely and I've had no issues myself. Perhaps they're just waiting for the perfect day to screw me over...

Had all mine out at 17. They quit bleeding after a couple hours, no pain, no dry socket, no swelling. I was scared to death and it turned out to be a cake walk. Either I was really able to rebound from things at that age or I had a great oral surgeon. :D

Jello should be okay to eat, too. That is what my dad had when he was barely able to chew.

Just eat soup, just to be safe. ;)

Using water to get rid of blood, for me, doesn't work. :P It just wets the wound and makes more blood come out. Eat some cotton.

Had mine out 3 weeks ago. Went in 3 days after with a 'rebleed'. Got stitched up and haven't looked back.

Just follow whatever the dentist instructed - rinses and whatever. I remember I stuck to soups and scrambled eggs for quite a few days. But mouth stuff heals up pretty quickly.
