Misleading title. More than half of the questions are about business model.

What do you mean by a loot box ?.?

There is chests you can find around in the game that you must lockpick to get their content.

Oh god no. A loot box is a randomized prize (or set of prizes) you purchase with real life money in many MMOs. Most of the prizes are junk that no one really cares about, but there is a chance of nabbing a cosmetic item or what have you that you might actually love. Basically it's a lottery system and it's something every MMO has implemented so far, as far as I know at least. If you ever played Star Wars: The Old Republic, you know what I'm talking about. Most of the really cool cosmetic items in that game you have to purchase via loot boxes. Might be 8 loot boxes and $30 down the drain before you actually get the item you want.

Oh "Cash Shop Lottery Box" like in SWTOR and many other games before it. Then no thanks I don't want that in ESO.

So I assume that is what the OP is suggesting? I say no, then.

Welcome, by the way, OP!

I'm going out on a whim here and saying that the "lottery box" is a bi-product of gimmicky ways to get money out of users for free to play titles. It's a form of gambling and I can't see that getting into a game supposedly rated 12.

I don't care what payment model it will be, although I'd prefer the traditional buy and play. If it is free to play then do it like Warframe and charge me for some option stuff or alternatives to grind out materials.

I'd rather it didn't have ti but I wouldn't care too much if it did. I'd just ignore the whole system.

Also poll does not have my preferred payment model which is FREEMIUM so I didn't vote. I would like P2P, sure, but I think starting out of the gate with Freemium is the best bet ESO has for financial success. For those of you who don't know what freemium is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemium
