Resume
- There are four classes in the game (Dragon Knight, Sorcerer, Templar, Nightblade). They aren't truly classes they are more like templates. Each class has 3 unique skill lines that are only found in that particular class.
- There are a total of nine races in the game (Breton, Redguard, Orc, Dunmer, Nord, Argonian, Altmer, Bosmer, Khajiit)
- Each race has their own racial skill line.
- NPC react to you differently depending on the race that you are playing. Picking a race isn't just cosmetic.
- You advance skill lines by using skills that are found within the skill line. The more skills you use from that skill line the faster you will unlock other skills.
- You can use any weapon found in the game no matter what class you are
- By the time you are level 50 (level cap) you would have maxed out around 20-30% of your skills.
- You learn abilities in the game. Not only will you naturally start off with skill lines due to your class and race, but you can unlock more by using armor/weapons. Also joining guilds like the Fighters and Mage's Guild will unlock new skill lines for you. (He said that there are other guilds out there. I'm suspecting that he's talking about Thieves and Dark Brotherhood, but maybe there are some new ones.)
- Crafting is very explorative (yes I'll make that a word). You can gather any material you find in the world to use for crafting. All materials have multiple hidden properties to them. You want to find out what the properties are. It isn't that they just give you the recipe on how you make something and it will always make it. It's I have these materials on me, what should I make out of them.
- First Person Mode
- A lot of monsters from the previous titles will be found in the game, especially Daedra (Spider Daedra, Clannfear, Daedroths).
- New Daedra known as the Daedric Titan and the Harvester.
- Depending on the type of creature you might be fighting it in large groups (zombies) or as a solo monster (Giants).
- Enemy NPCs also have Synergy like players can use (monster puts down oil and another monster that has destruction magic lights it on fire).
- The new Daedra monster the Harvester is a snake-like Daedra with multiple arms. It has the power to take your soul essence from you and you try to get them back. If your essence reaches her she heals for a bit and gets more damage.
- If you own a keep within Cyrodiil, your faction will have guards that will be in the immediate area around it. These guards can be fed to increase their power, but enemy factions can starve out the guards making them weaker. The guards can also use Synergys also. Not only with each other, but with players also.
- Three alliance PvP warfare
- All keeps are destructible. They aren't creating it so that you are forced into only one bottleneck area, you can create your own.
- There are a total of 18 keeps spread throughout Cyrodiil. Lots of the keeps are already pre-owned by an alliance.
- Banners around the keeps will change when new ownership takes over. Aldmeri guards wear yellow garbs, Daggerfall wear blue, and Ebonheart wear red.
- Not one race will be more present as guards and NPCs around the keep. They are going to mix and match the three races to make it seem like all of them are doing their part.
- Hybridization of skill lines allow for you to be able to play whatever type of character you want in Cyrodiil and still be able to compete.
- Many of the cities you are familiar with from Oblivion will be found in Cyrodiil.
- Found inside the towns are tons of quests for PvEers to do. So it's not just a PvP zone, there are tons of PvE in there too.
- Public dungeons found throughout Cyrodiil.
- There are pushing to have 200 people on screen at one time while still running smooth.
- Leader boards found in Cyrodiil. Many different options to see how good you are compared to different things.
- PvP and PvE gear can be used interchangeably.
- Releases in Spring 2014. Released on Mac, PC, Xbox One, and PS4
