The Public access of data

Who else thinks that it would be cool to have this for all major cities? The government already has stuff like this (But I don't want this turning into a political thing), but imagine if the public had access.

I for one would love that! Seeing where people are, where data is coming from, it's just so cool.

What are your feelings?

NO POLITICAL STUFF!

No thanks. I'd like to try NOT living in a Big Brother regime.

I wonder how they were able to pull this off in the first place? I also have limited knowledge of computers...

It's just Ubisoft after all, not like they have massive resources.

And I'm more interested about the public having full access to something like this in more cities.

@Terash, it's a watchdog marketing site that gives you a realtime feed of the data usage in a few cities (like tweets, cell phone locations, etc)

we already do, we just don't have access and the masses will never have full access to anything of the like...if anything Big bro will let us play with his old child toys while he keeps the big boy toys to himself and making us feel special

I think I'm done reading tweets...

This is all just publicly available data. Nothing really new except the nice interface.

I know, but the layout and presentation is cool. I wonder if something like that exists for Google Earth?

Yes and no. It's one thing to have tweets and instagrams buried in the flow, another to see them like that, dots on a map. In context of yet more data.

... Hugely creepy. You gotta love the op's name, given the thread. :lmao:
