Talking to the Enemy!

Post » Fri Jun 28, 2013 12:39 am

*Sorry if this has been discussed or answered before, I am fairly new to the forums.

In some MMORPGs such as WoW, player members of opposing factions (Alliance and Horde) are unable to communicate!
Even in "Say" the words are translated in random words that doesn't make sense!

I was wondering if the same will occur to ESO or not?
Will my character "A member of Ebonheart" be able to say profane things to another players character who happens to be an "Altmer" before chopping of his head?

As far as we know you won't meet other factions except on the battlefield. So there won't be much time for discussions (but who knows).
If the chat-System will allow global chat or local chat with other factions...i don't know.

Oh, and Because I haven't seen you before: Welcome! http://t3ak.roblox.com/c5f60a5d46d0ffeb636deec73d204009

You can talk cross-faction if you are all in the guild, and they have talked about allowing for the factions to talk to each other in Cyrodiil, but it is subject to change because they said they don't want to see it abused.

We can have Cross faction guilds???
"Not to be abused" do you mean that players shouldn't use profane words against each other (i think the players are mature enough to do that). or do you mean that players could reveal strategic information to the enemy faction, such as telling the enemy how well armed they are and where their unites are?

Yes there will be cross-faction guilds but you won't be able to play with your friends if they are in a different faction though. It's just more for the social aspect that you can talk to your friends. Nothing else really comes from it

And basically yes to both (and I don't know how many online games you have ever played to think that they player base would be mature enough to not be profane to each other).
