I really want to play this so bad! I wish I could get into the closed Alpha.

Why do people play these Minecraft-looking games? Might as well crank the graphics up to 11 and play Daggerfall.

They're charging for their alpha and beta versions? That's.... ballsy. But while I avoid Minecraft (I don't think it's a bad game; I just find it kinda boring and know that if I didn't, I'd spend a lot of time on it and I can't afford to]), I can see this being fun.

Yes. A million times yes!

It sounds more like they're doing what Minecraft did, charge a lower price for the alpha, but all updates after that are free. I bought Minecraft in alpha and I still had access to the beta and full versions that came later.

Ohh, I understand it now. So it's like you can opt in at an earlier date to get a less expensive, but less-than-finished game, then have it with free updates after that point until it's full 1.0 and beyond? I was thinking they did something like charging you for the honor of being in on the alpha and beta, haha.

Fun Fact: Wollay was once offered a position at Mojang, but declined only because he didn't want to move to Sweden.

Looks like what Mojang promised with the Minecraft Adventure Update. Except you know, real and not crappy.
