I am actually sad to see this happen. I'm not sure anything is going right at id software at the moment.

If ever a man pulled off the muscle-man look with a ponytail while looking totally suave and cool, it was Todd Hollenshead. Heck, he could play an action hero character... never thought of it before.

There may be no consequences but his leaving might be a sign of something going terribly wrong at the studio right now

I know, I understand... and I just realize there will be consequences. We won't see them directly in the games maybe, but the president of a company has alot of influence over how the studio runs, right? So yeah... I guess I can say we'll see changes.

I don't know how much influence a president has, but it must be more than just "talking cool" about the studio. There's gotta be much more at stake than just some quakecon talk.

With all the troubling news lately... I still want to see Doom4 showed off before thinking things are getting any better or worse. We'll just have to wait and see.

Really sad to see him go. I wonder how long till Bethesda turns id into a tech company? When do you think Kevin Cloud and John Carmack will jump ship? I bet we won't be seeing them at Quakecon 2014!
