Is anyone else suffering from uhh, Flaccid Arrows?

Post » Sat Jul 06, 2013 11:05 am

So, since I've first played Skyrim, I've always had this problem where my arrows just drop... they go flaccid. Anyone else have this problem? It happens on all platforms for me, as well as on the Legendary Edition for PC and 360. Here's a short video showing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuNVLrnnWUI&list=PLlTZdcrqWdTcE09Wo3ijtH_kl9E6NmueC

If anyone knows a a permanent fix (rather than firing random arrows till it fixes itself) please let me know! This has killed archery for me :(

Thanks in advance!

does a restart solve the issue? does it happen in al places or just inside? never heard of this before.

did you try tweaking the arrow flight curve in the ini (only for PC of course)?

Are you holding down the button or just clicking?

from the video it look like he's holding down, but the flight looks just like from a short button tap.

I've had this happen to me but not to that extent where it happened multiple times in a sequence. My only suggestion would be to either reload the save, or fire the flaccid arrow, switch to a melee weapon (maybe give it a few swings) then switch back and see what happens. Just seems like you're getting a glitch from something that loaded.

What mods are you using?

Unfortunately it doesn't help the issue :(

Holding it down all the way :(

Exactly. I hold it down and no matter what it just goes plop to the floor :(

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried reloading multiple times and still. Does it have to do with my race or armor I'm wearing? Some sort of variable like that? Hmm... maybe I'll put that to the test a little later on. I'm not using any mods btw.

Thanks for the comments and help, everyone. Maybe some day soon we'll have a cure for flaccidity *.*

Are you using a mouse or controller?
