Mega Servers effects on out of game pvp trash talk

Post » Thu Jul 11, 2013 4:05 am

I'm an old DAOC VNboard junky so I'm somewhat conserned over mega servers removing the need for server boards.

The nice thing about server boards was the community that would build up in them. It's nice to be able to talk to the other sides and get some friendly pvssyr going.

Any idea if they will put up a board for each campain?

Well, we will all be one big happy server community. What is wrong with that? There will be communication between factions thanks to the inclusion of XBox & PS4 that have their own communications systems. Isn't that good enough?

No! No no no.

To many people talking over each other. You post something on page 1 and it's on page 3 in an hour.

What you look is faction pride I think. We know almost nothing about it though but its been one topic since announcement.

Btw, didnt they say they added global chat to the game already. I thint chat system is way better than turn offical forums into nonsense mess.

Im sure they will, Campaigns are basically your server where your guild and allies will be playing to geather. Unless your just a strickly PVE person who never goes to Cyrodiil, then you will just be part of the total population chat or what not.

On another note i think alot of people who claim they will never touch PVP will finds them selfs really liking Cyrodiil and all the things it brings. Alot of people didnt get to experience DAOC's RVR and only think of PVP from games where PVP was an afterthought that didnt matter.

There is nothing stopping the community from setting up their own forums, its just a matter of getting yours popular enough that lots of players go there.

There are already some private sites like The Foundry and I am pretty sure once ESO goes live they will still be around...
