so I just wanted to get the general consensus of Microsofts change from Points to currency,

I know my current Points will be turned into currency but i'm not sure if I'll be able to earn money through XBLR like i did points, if so then I am content, though i still would rather go to store to buy card then use credit card (Since i don't have one) so what are your thoughts?

I know you PC gamers are gonna comment on here to so im just going to say this now back off (to put it nicely :tops: )

Good luck with that.

I'm actually amazed that Microsoft is letting the points system go, considering how much extra money it made them and how people didn't seem to have an issue forking over the money. I can only assume that it's a way to help clear out stock of 360s in anticipation of the new generation and help boost their sales of the new Xbox.

I don't think they'll stop selling cards in stores. That would alienate a large portion of their (younger) playerbase.

IIRC 800 points cost $10, so you've got like $2.50ish.

If they're going to continue selling cards in stores, they'll probably give them real monetary value but limit their usage to the Xbox Marketplace, like a pre-paid credit card.
