Silly beta posts and topics

Post » Sat Jul 13, 2013 3:35 pm

So, lately as more people in these forums are getting accepted into the beta I'm seeing more and more stupid posts from users about the beta. Saying how long it takes them to download the game, saying things about the servers, and even about character issues.

I'm not asking questions from those people in this topic, no. I wanted to ask something in general.

Are these people getting kicked out of the beta for breach of NDA maybe? I'm mostly curious to see what the devs stance is. I'm surprised at how bold some peoples replies and posts have been.

I'm not in the beta, but I don't believe that violates the NDA. They're not actually releasing specific game information, and I think that's what the NDA mainly applies to.

Regardless of the amount of locked topics I just saw here, your post does nothing to help the situation. I also think it's less about being "bold" and cocky and more about how they aren't very explicit about this forums intent. If Zenimax wants everybody to post their beta things somewhere else, they need to make it much clearer about where to do that. I've received multiple PMs about this, it's not something everybody is picking up on, they just see TESO forums. It's an honest mistake for many, they may not even realize there may be somewhere else for them to talk safely.

My post doesn't do anything to help the situation, eh? Ironic coming from someone who was making the type of posts I was just talking about, Josh.

Talked about downloads speeds, which is so far outside of NDA range I can babble on about it all I want, especially because the size of the download was announced to the lesser public anyway. Everybody is going to have wildly different download times  You seem to have a habit of tooling around on the forums though, I'm not surprised.
