A while ago I had a Heist job that pointed me to no target, so I figured I would advance the quest using the console.

However, since then, Vex does not give jobs.

Is there any fix for this that is not reloading a prior save?

reloading would be the safest bet..

Do you have Dragonborn? if you do and you ever get a Radiant Quest that doesn't show up on your map, travel to Solstheim, it is likely there and will show up on your map as you arrive

The Heist job was in the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun but there was nothing in the strongbox to grab up.

I'm going to try doing a 30-day wait, and see if that works.
