what songs do you want to play at your:

Funeral

wedding

or anything else

For me I'd have to say I'm a firm believer of the FUN in Funeral so my death songs will at the moment be:

I don't understand why funerals are so sad. The deceased have moved somewhere better, and have rid the world of all their nuisances, right?

My wedding is nonexistent, and my funeral quiet, as I will be the only one attending it. Some good piano music would be nice, though. :)

Because death is the unknown. There are few finer pleasures in life than breath in a fresh winded morning or simple pleasures of food and good company. To live is to know these senses, but who can say if the dead truly feel anything? This is why funerals are a mark of sorrow, because we lose the pleasure of the company, or the entertainment they provided the world.

I already had my wedding and played Daft Punk (not that disappointing new album; this was before that), Lazerhawk, Teenage Bad Girl, Renegade, Sneaky Sound System, Nine Inch Nails, music from Chrono Trigger, Cowboy Bebop, and such during the reception. Except the volume was so low I'd be surprised if anyone heard it.

I don't want a funeral (just to be cremated) because I don't like them at all (I even have a pretty extreme dislike for them despite the whole life celebration thing). I don't like caskets or flowers even more than most people.

Buuut, if I had to, I'd probably play an... well, I can't think of a clever response like everyone else has. Um, I guess "I Love Music" by Andrew WK or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEpGtjXwQtg or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TWGNQm8I0g by Lazerhawk.

Or actually, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnd4bqfqWCU

Unknown as it is, I find that wishing a person to be back among the living to be selfish. Who knows what pleasures the afterlife contain? Who's to say that there is an afterlife? What if death is simply a deep, eternal sleep, the best sleep you've had?

Already had my wedding. We hired a really great local funk band to play original stuff for the party, but a friend of ours (REALLY talented musician) played a pretty wide selection of some favorites before that. Our first dance was to his fantastic and unique cover of Thank You by Led Zeppelin. It was pretty perfect.

At my funeral I think I'd want people that knew me to laugh, so I'd probably choose something absolutely absurd. Perhaps just a solid two hours of Manowar.
