Healing paths

Hi Paul, big fan!

My question is..

Is healing in TESO limited to two paths?

You have stated that the 4 classes are just templates and starting point as there are loads of skill trees to follow and shape a character to fit our playing styles. However as a healer, as far as the information has been released, are there only 2 Healing skill paths at launch, The Templars healing path, and the Restoration Staff path. Is this not a very limited choice for healers? Either being forced to pick a Templar, or only having the option of one weapon, the Restoration Staff.

Will there be any other healing paths that have not been unannonced?

Will the Restoration Staff have different attunments, like the Destruction Staff having Fire, Lightning and Frost?

As it currently stands, if I was to play either a Sorcerer, Nightblade or Dragon Knight, is the only option I have to be a viable group healer, the Restoration Staff path?

Thanks

Well, there are two full 'healing' paths, that aren't just healing, but that is their focus. Also, most "healing" classes usually have other skills or abilities. For us, you can determine what those are. I think the openness of the skill system really will allow you to play a very versatile healer.

Is it just me or did he just dance around that question?

If you want to play a Healer you should take a Templar , atleast im understanding it that way, and yes he wasent really answering the question.

I have found Paul Safe is very good at dancing around a question without answering it. He is a great PR man from that perspective.

If you really want to know what's going on in game development you need to speak with someone on the dev team.

As far as your question goes truth is thay can change it all up very easily at this point. So you need to be careful about what you hear now as its all subject to change

I interpreted it as "you can heal with any kind of class/weapon you have, but they still have their own paths which aid healing."

But perhaps I don't understand the usage of abilities correctly.

I'm under the impression that you can use any ability with any weapon, but a destruction staff will simply give you bonuses, or an 'auto-attack' that's magic or something; starting to feel as though I've misunderstood.

Each class sort of encompasses an archetype, but doesn't have to stick to it.

A sorc's main thing is damage and maybe crowd control, but they can make very adequate healers.

I imagine all 4 classes are like this, with a specialty.

I'm not bashing him at all what he does is very good but you can always tell he's tryin to answer the question the don't have answers to because he babbles. You know when they aren't able to st because they're not ready to because he says so but some things he just bounces around. Not because he doesn't know but because he doesn't want to land the company in hot water so he skirts the questions

Pretty sure he is saying, while yes there are just two paths for healing, there is lots of variety and options within those paths.

I agree. But the main question, which he did not answer at all was, is there any other paths to heal besides the Templar and staff heal lines.

Doubtful. Healing staves are a no brainer, but I doubt any of the other currently announced classes have a dedicated heal tree like Templar.

They don't. But I'm sure each class will have some sort of way of self healing though. Either through an ability or passive.
