What have you done?!
Seriously though, make up your mind. Better or more successful? There's no doubt ESO will be more successful - as in more popular and bringing more money. A better game though? Hard to say, they're entirely different animals. Aside from typical TES features both games share, Morrowind's greatest strength was depth of lore and intricacy of society (and very subtle level scaling, but...) I don't think ESO can match it. However, it will easily surpass Morrowind in terms of playability (more fluid and 'modern', not to mention social), scope and player retention.
Morrowind community is still alive after a decade. I wonder what will become of ESO in ten years time? Then again, it's not a quality we can use to compare an MMO and a single player game, Morrowind needs no servers to live. Well, maybe PES and Nexus. :wink:

You care to tell us why? or is it just a hunch.

Im hesitant to believe ESO will be the next best thing. It could be, but theres not enough information for me to go off, since i havent played the beta.

Ive just seen to many MMO's become hyped up, and everyone on the forums saying its going to be the "WoW killer". then everyone gets hyped up and buys the $200 special collectors edition for the bonus in game items. A few months after release the game loses 90% of its original subs. and everyone is complaining about the game on the forums.

I don't know why Morrowind is so loved. I loved Daggerfall. I loved Oblivion. I loved Skyrim. I could not really stand Morrowind.

Most likely because in some ways Morrowind is that transition between the old a new age of TES games. But personally, that is what made me love it, it had features of both ages that really just bring the game to a great quality, as well as this

It's true... twenty years from now, people will be telling neophytes "where they can put it", 'coz they've been following the series since ESO.

I doubt or at least its highly debatable that ESO will be better than Morrowind, but more successful? Sure that is practically certain.

Well more succesful and better.
More time money and bigger team is working on eso.
This can end being epic fail and bury tes series or this can achieve the success wow has achieved.
But i think this will be ALOT better then morrowind because this game is including morrowind itself ;..;
