Suggestion Storm (Remind devs the content u want)

*Suggestion Storm*

Just a friendly reminder to developers of TESO to consider including suggestions from ES fans and its community :D

Please post your suggestions concerning content that would be enriching for TESO world, this may be a repetition of some other threads and posts, but now is the time to start reinforcing what features and content will be most important to TESO fans

  • Cosmetic clothing that will personalize the look of each character like cloaks, jewelry, etc . . . been said before,
  • Racial abilities through a specific racial skill tree, but with some starting base abilities (like Argonians waterbreathing, Bosmer 15% immunity to disease, Altmer +10 to magicka, Khajit 10% better prices at vendors, just have something in it to distinguish races for starting)
  • Interesting taverns and locales, with minigames and the chance to win gold, achievements, or small trinkets for sentimental value
  • A place to store or show off interesting equipment in player abodes (btw has anyone heard anything about storage systems? I know that there will be equipment slots instead of encumberance)
  • Conjuration skill line with bound weapons or just some spell tomes that will allow your to learn some bound weapons with an appliable skill tree to enhance them
  • Ability to play minigames against other players in Tamriel, not just NPCs
  • A robust PvP, PvE experience with regard to faction war including a variety of mission types and achievable ranks, for example: Large scale assaults, defensive and offensive missions, caravan raids and escort missions, covert missions to sabotage enemy installations, (other ideas?)
  • A way to establish your character lore in game, like a private journal/biography page and possibly ways to disseminate RP friendly information in notes, or posters or missives.

These bullet points are some of the recurring concerns and suggestions that I have seen on this forum and other forums. I have been reviewing older posts and I think it is worthwhile to bring some of the older suggestions back to learn if there has been any consideration or progress made on these topics. My view as a player is from a RP PvP perspective and my suggestions reflect those gameplay styles and concerns. (I guess this is my disclaimer LOL) I am in no way suggesting that my suggestions are more valid than others and I would love to see the developers address some of the fan concerns and suggestions and find a way to compromise and include the content we want to see. In my opinion TESO is a different brand of MMO and will be great.

Thanks

Oh, one minigame I had in mind was the ability to have brawling matches, with a level playing field for fun and for achieves.

I second the Brawling. maybe with NPCs in the Inn.

Im all for achievements rather than vanity items.

Nice suggestions but we dont know if they are already in game.

Like for conjuration, there might be conjuration staff and since every weapon have their own skill line...

And i already tought there was racial skill line O.o

Thanks for the bright lime colored text, it was painful enough that I skipped your post entirely. Especially impressive on the OP, because that's the only post in thread people read universally, and therefore does not need to stand out at all more than it does..

Un-greened the quoted text because it hurts my eyes. But by point:

  • Some form of that is in. Three forms, actually--Costumes, disguises (not sure how these are different, but they're described as different things), and the ability to customize the appearance of your armor (few official details on how this will work).
  • Racials are in, but different from single-player TES due to differences in game mechanics.
  • At least one type if mini-game is in (fishing).
  • No official word on player housing, don't expect it at launch if ZOS doesn't say it'll be ready, but it would be nice to have homes and/or guild halls.
  • I doubt bound weapons will make an appearance due to the differences in game mechanics between single-player games and MMOs.
  • Mini-games are more fun against other players, but without official word of other activities, can't say if we'll see things like Asheron's Call's chess boards or not. Would be a fun diversion from time to time though.
  • That's kind of like asking for a quality MMO in your MMO, isn't it? :D I for one hate escort missions with the fury of a thousand suns, and would be overjoyed to hear that ESO has none at all.
  • Cool idea, but that could lead to a lot of server bloat very quickly--Some people get very "wordy" with their prose (seriously, there's a My Little Pony fan-fiction out there that's longer than War and Peace). Would rather see something like that limited in word count (longer than a tweet, but no longer than my post here), with such items only persisting while held by players (or in their character storage).

Not trying to be a [censored], but...my eyes! I would suggest not using that color.

Don't want to sound like an ass here, but could you change the color of the text please? It does hurt my eyes :/

Aside from that, I do pretty much agree with the OP.

Yeah, I guess there have to be some pleasant suprises ahead as far as content and game dynamics. I would be pleased as punch if many of these things were going to be included, but until we know for sure it's a good idea to remind the devs every once in a while. THANKS
