Random loot (RNG)

So, how would you like to see random loot in ESO?

For question 2, vote for what degree of randomness/RNG you would like to see for drops in ESO. 10 is full RNG madness where any mob can drop basically anything, and 0 is no randomness at all, meaning each mob type have fixed pre-set loot tables.

Please go ahead and share any thoughts and ideas related to this as well.

RNG Loot can be fun because, its possible to get gear that suits your playstyle perfectly, on the other hand you can get gear that helps you nothing over long periods of times.

So im splitt 50/50 im ok with both types, but i dont want to much loot from one boss, that means everyone in the group gets 1 item that just to much.

Agree, to me RNG Loot has a lot to say in a game, and more RNG Loot can expand the life time of a game for me significantly. It also encourages exploring as you could find good loot just about anywhere, IMO.

Personally, I am in favour of RNG loot over fixed loot, probably 60/40 or 70/30. And no, I don't think that everybody in a group should be guaranteed a good item for taking down a boss, it kills the excitement for me if I know that I will get good loot every time.

After WoW and D3... i felt every enemy with the chance to drop purp's was a bit obscene ( legendaries in D3's case ).

I would really like... Important gear being nearly impossible to get. Strange item to talk on, but do you remember the staff to open ahn qiraj ( i forget spelling its been a while since that time )... There was only one per server, and the whole guild had to help it's creation.

Reason being... I don't want to see every 2 handed user with Wuthrad. Keeping well known items extremely rare, i feel, would suit TES. Not only that, there are few MMO's with that kind of insanity, and it would be nice to see.

As for the high tier item grind... i'd like to see that just a little bit less stressful than WoW. Then again getting full raid gear in one week would be a bit... stupid. It may need lockouts if the best gear is from raid bosses ( an evil necessity )... or maybe a daily lock.

Maybe a class specific legendary item quest that will challenge you greatly in an instanced zone solo. And perhaps random legendary drop rate... only from bosses... and 0.1% drop chance.

I think it's cool that in WoW or D3 any mob can drop a purp/legendary/unique item, and would personally love to see that in ESO as well. HOWEVER, the chance of it happening should be like 0.01% for common mobs, 0.1% for stronger mobs and maybe 0.5-1% for bosses/named mobs.

I would also like to see different classes of uniques such as common uniques that everybody have a decent chance of getting throughout leveling/exploring, and then rare uniques that may only drop from bosses in 50++ content zones, and have an extremely low drop rate, like 0.001% in order to keep the epic feel, and avoid the scenario where every 2 handed user got the Wuthrad.
