My story idea for a continuation of Dragonball Z

So I've been thinking about this for a while now, a little continuation of DBZ that occurs after EoZ.

The timeline is Future Trunks' timeline.

Future trunks returns to the future post Cell games in order to eradicate the Saiyans. He meets the Androids, goes SSJ, and completely wrecks them in one shot, both.

3 years pass, and Future Trunks is talking with Future Bulma regarding a trip to the Current Timeline in order to tell the others that the Androids are gone, as the time machine has gathered enough energy to make another round trip, he then confronts Cell, who is waiting in the dark to ambush the young Super Saiyan. Trunks deals with him swiftly, after taking him to a remote location.

This is the end..or so Trunks thought, to his nightmarish timeline.

Renzuu, a young Saiyan Warrior, was on his way to a mission at the age of 15. His mission - to eradicate the binary planet system of Ultros, in the Gammon quadrant of the Irunie galaxy. On his way to the system, his Saiyan pod encountered a phenomenon; a black hole had formed seconds in front of him. Unable to react, his pod was svcked into it, and in an instant, disappeared.

Far away, in a galaxy not yet discovered by anyone one Earth, lives a peaceful people who consist of pure ki energy. Their very being and presence is nothing but an outward explosion of ki, focused into bodily figures that resemble spirits. These beings, called Yoplah in the earthen tongue, received a very interesting visitor 16 years prior.

It was a bright, sunny day on the Yoplah homeworld. At midday, the Yoplah experienced something they never had before: a wormhole opened up in their atmosphere, and a little round ball shot out of it going 2000 miles an hour. It shot through their clouds like a lightning bolt, and crashed into the sea.

Quite alarmed, the Yoplahn people teleported to the crash site in their ocean, only to find a large sphere resting at the bottom of the waves, 1 mile below the surface. Intrigued, and cautious, they willed it to be moved to dry land. (The Yoplahn people are extremely mental creatures; they can just think something and it happens, due to their intense ki energy.)

After studying the sphere for an hour puzzingly, the pod cracked and whistled, and out came a unconscious saiyan, who tumbled onto the ground. This was Renzuu, who had been taken millions of lightyears off his course to eradicate the binary system of Ultros. Renzuu was unconscious for weeks, until amazingly he came to. The Yoplahn people had never seen a solid creature before, as their entire existence was a thought, and never had to worry about physical properties.

Throughout the next 10 years, the Yoplahn taught and raised Renzuu, who was entirely aware that he was never going to see his homeworld of Planet Vegeta again. Renzuu grew in his fighting techniques throughout the years by fighting enormous ravenous beast that plagued the moons of the planet, and other planets in the system. He was an incredible Warrior, known not only for his strength, but for his mastery of ki energy. He could destroy a planet with his mind alone, and create waves of ki so powerful that gravitational pulls of planets would be disrupted. He achieved the Super Saiyan form while being nearly killed by a giant he battled, and even ascended easily to a Super Saiyan 2 due to his great connection with ki through the teachings of the Yoplahn.

During his 16 years on Yoplahn, the planet was constantly under attack from a much more sinister and evil race who lived on a planet on the other side of the solar system in which the planets orbited. These beings, the Quazzt, would decimate entire settlements of the Yoplahn for their energy, which they svcked up and used to turn into firepower for their machines. The Qazzt regarded the Yoplahn as a resource, and the resource was running out.

The leader of the Qazzt, a merciless being of pure dark energy named Solaris, would not only svck the energy out of and kill the Yoplahn for need, but also sport. He delighted in causing pain and suffering throughout the solar system, and Renzuu was completely powerless to combat him, as Renzuu was unable to land a blow due to Solaris' ability to instantly appear anywhere in the universe, as he was pure Ki energy. He was a flickering flame, untouchable, and a menace to the entire planet.

Out of desperation, the Yoplahn people created a machine, with the help of Renzuu, who was like an adopted member of their people at this point, that could detect the attacks by sensing evil energy in the world. Unbeknownst to them, the machine that they created was extremely powerful, and not only sensed great evil within their solar system, but in the entire universe, due to their connection with ki energy.

It was found out that this evil ki that was being detected was not only from this universe, but other dimensions as well. The machine, which they called the Dark-Matter Sensor, detected the evil of Majin Buu through the ripples in time caused by Future Trunks' time machine use. Renzuu was made aware of this great evil, and due to his lust for battle, and furious over his inability to combat Solaris, Renzuu requested that the Yoplahn people use their last energy available to teleport Renzuu to the place of origin of this great evil.

The Yoplahn were nearly extinct due to the attacks of the Quazzt, and they agreed to use their last life essence and ki to grant the request of Renzuu and transport him to the location of the ripples in time that were emanating the evil of Majin Buu.

And thus begins the story of Renzuu and Future Trunks, two Saiyans from different corners of the universe who were united in an instant. Renzuu and Trunks found the ball of Majin Buu, and destroyed Buu. Future Trunks had ascended to a Super Saiyan 3 at this point, and had taught the ability to Renzuu as well.

Completely unaware, Solaris decided to track down Renzuu, who brought him great shame by stamping out the last energy that the Yoplahn people had by teleporting him. Furious, Solaris travels the universe at near instant speeds to find him.

One day..he does..and completely wipes out the face of Earth! Earth is a mere wasteland, with the only remaining survivors Future Trunks and Renzuu, and a Time Machine Capsule in Future Trunks' pocket!

Who can the SSJ3 dynamic duo rely on to combat an evil that cannot be touched? Renzuu and Future Trunks have no choice but to return to the Current Timeline to ask Goku and the Z fighters to help them in their great quest!

They arrive shortly after Goku's battle with the God of Destruction..Bills..

I see nothing in there about having 20 straight episodes of nothing but charging up.

It feels like the entire story is... far-fetched. I mean, it's kind of cheap to say, " turns out, there's another living Saiyan and well, turns out they're not too special ".

It also feels like Trunks made less of a character and too much is drawn from nowhere, not enough really connecting the off-shoot of Renzuu to the main cast or even Trunks himself. It also takes much more than a connection with ki to achieve Super Saiyan forms. Renzuu shouldn't just be able to achieve those forms, he would need to experience great pain, or hatred, or have a pure heart like Goku. Not simply be strong, or attuned. Also, there's no explanation for Trunks ascending to Super Saiyan 3. Something even his father, who is arguably more powerful, could not manage. A feat that only one Saiyan in the history of DBZ ever achieved; Goku. Gotenks doesn't count either, because he was a fusion.

Anyway, not a bad story at all and the picture is awesome. I could see this being a movie of some sort, but not a series' continuation or anything.

Besides, I think it's safe to say DBZ has been laid to rest, as painful as that is to say.

Haha, too true!

Well the Saiyans turned out to be not so special anyway, especially with the movies and the introduction of more saiyans as the series progressed. I mean, I actually think it's far fetched to say Freeza destroyed ALL saiyans at one time. There HAD to have been other saiyans on missions when Freeza destroyed Bardock and his gang; they ran an intergalactic planet trade.

Yes, but there were how man Saiyans again? Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Broly, Paragus, Turles, ( Tarble if you count him, and I don't ). Those 7 or so, ( I may be forgetting ), were the only survivors of Planet Vegeta's destruction. To me, 6 survivors of which only 2 survive the series, makes them special. Adding more, in a far-fetched way, seems cheap to me, no offense meant.

Yes, you're not unjustified for saying that. But, the entire anime by Toriyama's direction, went under the assumption that all Saiyans ( aside from those introduced as the series progressed, once more; there were 7. ) had been killed when Frieza annihilated Bardock and Planet Vegeta along with him. If the creator of a series says something, I listen to it. So when Toriyama states those were the only survivors, I go with that.

As a reader of the manga I really don't see the Saiyans as "special" at all. =/
