So its true then, thats dissapointing, no morrowind from the original morrowind game
Not sure what the colored areas on the fan made map are suppose to be depicting. If he thinks those are the only playable areas it is way off IMO, as for one we have seen shots and fly through vids of Black Marsh so obviously Black Marsh will be playable.
Also many screenshots of skyrim. So why would they show that? I agree with pangscar.
Just pointless fears without any evidence (except somebody using photoshop and scaring the [censored] out of the crowd.)
Morrowind, both the province and the island the game was played on are on both the maps....
The playable areas are actually pretty much spot on. The Shadowfen zone is part of Black Marsh.
Good. Vvardenfell was completely off limit to outlanders prior to TES 3
I think this guy is spot on.
It's kind of sad, but a fact I've come to expect. Where developers make one thing, modders and fans make it better.
You cant make modes like that for TESO
You mean mods, and mods like what? I wasn't saying this map was made for TESO, just that the fan made map was better. What I implied was that in past ES games, things made by the games creators weren't quite as good as the mods that were released by the fans which improved things like NPC/player models, or improved graphics and such. Sometimes modders even come out with patches to problems before developers do.
Sooo is the fan-made thing in any way accurate to what ESO will have, or is it just literally painting stronger borders on the shade-map original?
It's not official so it's not accurate. Until ZOS releases the actual map, or someone leaks it out to the internet, none that you will see are accurate.
Alright. Well, in that case, I'll echo SouthernDiscomfort's first post wrt thread.
Yeah, this map was posted on Facebook the other day. It has no merit too it. A fan took the official map and just put the names of the cities where they "should" be. The fan still messed up because they took away Western Morrowind and basically merged it with Eastern Skyrim.
When ZOS released that first picture, they were just giving people a general feeling on what parts of the game would be open, it in no way actually shows us exactly what will be open. We have just heard from them that Vvardenfall, most of Black Marsh/Elsweyr, the main island of Summerset Isles, Western parts of Skyrim, most of Hammerfell, were not going to be available at launch. But that still doesn't exactly tell us what areas are open though.
So, I would take this map very a grain of salt, since it's fan-made. Wait till ZOS releases the map themselves, or someone leaks it on the internet.
It has been leaked. While the "fan made" map is not official, it is an accurate representation of the official one, which we obviously can't show here. That makes the whole discussion here rather moot, but to say that the map is without merit is not entirely true.
Well hang on there. If the above-quoted thing is true, then that fan-map is pretty accurate in terms of colouring in the remainders.
It's correct in the coloring, but not in the placements of the towns. Riften shouldn't be that far East. He completely disregarded the northwestern part of Morrowind. Again, it's fan made and not official. So, yes, it is moot.
People would be disappointing with that? That's a whole lot of different areas to explore.
