Suggestion : Worn WeaponArmor Bonus

Post » Sat Aug 03, 2013 3:14 pm

This idea came from the Old Battles where warriors were fond by their weapons and armors and felt they had special powers after wining lots of fights with them.

Option 1: The Worn Weapon/Armor Bonus can be triggered after an user played for a certain amount of hour ( in battle stance, not wondering in pace full areas ) . For example after 100 Hours a Worn Bonus is triggered an the user can add it on one of its items by giving the a little extra stats ( not to much ) . From this point the type of bonuses can be expanded in many ways ,stats bonuses or skill bonuses, after a longer numbers of hours nicer/better Worn Weapon/Armor Bonuses.

Option 2: The Worn Weapon/Armor Bonus can be triggered after an user raised a certain amount of levels in a skill while he had equipped the same Weapon or Armor. In this case when levels for One-Hand skill goes for Worn Bonus 1h Wep , levels for Armor Skills goes for Worn Bonus Armor and so on bows with bows,2h with 2h,leather with leather, etc.

For example lets say an user raises 3 levels of One-Hand skill a Worn Bonus is activated and can add extra stats on the 1h Weapon he had equipped or it Unlocks an extra random stat or skill for his Weapon.

Option 3: The Worn Weapon/Armor Bonus can be triggered after killing a cretin amount of mobs (for example 500 "vampire" give +1% life steal to a weapon, etc ) or a certain Boss and gives the user a special bonus on his weapon or armor regarding the type of mobs or the type of boss he killed.

Hope this is helpful in some way for the better development of ESO.

Best regards

P.S. i didn't play the Beta so the suggestions are based on previous Elder Scrolls games experience and the official info's about ESO.

To get better bonuses without having to acquire new gear? I'm just trying to wrap my head around how something like that could be coded and then tracked for potentially hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of characters and their gear. While I'm sure it could be done, I wouldn't want to be the guy trying to make it work.

The 1st thing that came in mind was the bound between the player and his items related with the lore of Elder Scrolls... transposed into a MMO it can mean an easy reward system for players that spend more time in the game and explore more things ,also can attract other players to play more .

From the programing point of view it can be a pain :D... the bonus can also be unlocked in the skill system and not necessarily needed to be coded for every weapon its just the "time" spent with "x" weapon or enemies killed with the "x" weapon ,unlocks the "y" bonus ( i'm niub in programing :D )
