MentalHealth.gov

This has been bugging me for a wile now, why is there a MentalHealth.gov logo at the bottom of the forums? What does that have to do with Bethesda at all?... Are they trying to study us to see if Bethesda fans are mentally ill or what, why is it there, it doesn't belong here! It's starting to make me wonder what Bethesda really thinks of us...

It's just here to add atmosphere, and possibly so that Bethesda can be absolved legally if someone self-harms indirectly because of the forums.

We already had a thread about this: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1465130-mentalhealthgov-link-at-the-bottom-of-the-forum/page-1

I believe there's an explanation why the link is there, somewhere in that thread...

The demographic who are into video games can be quite introverted and as a group can be somewhat prone to depression; as such, I don't really see the problem with a link. The reasons for doing so may be less clear, but y'know.

That's pretty much it. Every now and then we get threads from people who are very depressed and don't know what to do. The link is there just in case someone needs it.

I'll go with the answer highlighted in red. Does this mean that I think Bethesda only cares about money, and that I also believe they are a money grubbing company with greed that exceeds EA? No. On the flip side of the coin, they do have to protect themselves since people are money grubbing individuals that will "make a mountain out of a mole hill," so to speak anyways. Why I can't stand that jerk here in Florida that touts himself as the first person you should call when you're involved in an auto-accident, when he's nothing more than a greedy piece of crap chiropractor who is looking to make a quick buck off others pain and suffering.
