Locking faction areas with 1 way transfers is terrible
Here is 3 reasons why
1. Its a Guild Killer
People will form friendships with there Guild mates all the way up to level 50
The first thing everyone is going to want to do when they hit 50 is transfer and play through the other faction areas
But when you transfer its one way
You can never return
You can never play with your friends again
And effectively every level 50 player has just left the Guild
2. Its a Character Killer
When you transfer
You have to choose a new race from one of the available races in the new faction
Your character is basically reset
You will need to start the game with your least preferred faction
So you can end the game on the faction you really wanted to start with
Then as a complication when new expansion areas and quests are released for each faction
You cant go back to complete those
3. Its just a really bad system that no one wants
THERE IS A BETER SYSTEM
Choice a : When a player hits 50 allow them to fly into the other faction starting zones
And and quest through those lands as there original faction character and return home whenever they want
There is no harm
You are always phased with players from your original faction in every zone except Cyrodiil
Now you can complete the entire game and play with your Guild friends whenever you want
Choice b : $20 fee each time this choice is made
Give players the option to fully transfer into a new faction race
This decision would separate them from their original faction
They will now be phased with their new faction and they wont be able to play with their original friends anymore
But this option is for someone who wants to actually play their character as an alternate faction race
And for $20 they can always return
RISE UP AND PRESSURE BETHESDA THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO CRUMBLE BEFORE IN LIGHT OF REASON
