Am i the only one who wants dead is dead?

I would love it if they made death a real, permenant thing in ESO because it would make the world so immersive, it would force the newb trolls to mature and evreyone would think about the consequences of actions they make. No MMO I've ever heard of has had the guts to do this, and though it makes buisness sense to go easy on players when it comes to death, lets not forget that grandfather of all MMOs called DnD which was popular very much in part for perma-death. I expect to get a lot of flame for even putting forward such an unheard of and undone idea. But let's face it, the immortality of your character has always been a point of cheapening in games like this, we've just chosen not to see it. True Zenimax would never do it because they're trying to appeal to a broader fan base who want to play a game with no consequences, but I bellive if Zenimax brings somthing new to the plate they can dominate the MMO market.

Edited for typos.

Do you mean param death? That will not work in this game, because you put skill point for char progression. How would that work?

It would be such a low population game. Not near the money maker that ZOS desires. Also it is explained in the story why our character is basically immortal in this game.

Yes. I know it sounds crazy, but it's only because it hasn
't been done before. With Permenant death evreything becomes more valuable, life becomes valuable.

There have been several. You might want to check out Salem and Wizardry Online.

Totally niche concept though. It would never work in an IP this popular. ZO would be better off leading all their employees in a ritual mass suicide.

True it would not gain the COD [censored] or the WOW zergs. Zenimax probably want's to do what Bioware did, make a crappy theme park MMO which will garner millions of dollars in a few months and then drop to free to play. But what it would gain is a steady dedicated fanbase which would grow and become stong. Alas it is likley we will get a plastic mockery of the Elder scrolls series, one to be forgotten along with Reguard and Battlespire.

This is of course not to say that without perma-death the MMO won't be a good game, I suppose I just have other frustrations, but that's off topic.

I've never heard of Salem, probably a low budget anime adventure but I'll check it out.

I believe I speak for everyone when I say that TES already has a VERY dedicated and steady fanbase.

It's a crafting adventure game, nothing like TESO.
