Shouting In ESO?

Post » Mon Aug 12, 2013 3:24 pm

I would think (since you can go anywhere in Tamriel), you would be able to go to The monastery atop the highest mountain on the continent which is also known as High Hrothgar. Located in Skyrim, it is the home of the Graybeards, masters of the way of the voice, or shouting. I think there might be a quest line where you learn how to shout that you can pick up from one of the Graybeards. This is an interesting idea, but I have not seen anything confirming this or denying it. So that being said, has anyone else read or seen anything about this? And do you think it would be a good Idea or a bad idea.

Thanks,

Mythrandeil

I'm pretty sure there aren't going to be any shouts.

BLAH BLAH BLAH UR MOM BLAH BLAH

CHUCK NORRIS BLAH BLAH BLAH

actually .. didn't the nords have something in their history about this?

I could have swore I remember a conversation with some one in skaal village about that in morrowind expansion pack .. never the less .. I would have to say that if they put in shouts for the nords then plz be fair and allow us darkelves access to telvanni powers like the wazards had in morrowind .. like the ability to summon 2 dremora! seems fair to me.

Yeah Hlaren, Mortals were given the Thu'um by I think Kynereth although I may be wrong. So I don't see why I wouldn't be in the game, and remember, it takes a long time for a normal person to learn the way of the voice, unlike in Skyrim (the game) where you play as the dragonborn and is a lot easier because you are born with dragon blood.

The Greybeards were in business at the time of ZOL, so I guess it would match the lore, but, unless you're dragon born, it can take years to master a shout. By the time you've done that, the faction war should be over.

The Thu'um is a lost art during this time period. Only a very select few people in Tamriel have the ability to use it and the players will NOT be one of them.

Won't be in at launch but they'll add it and dragons with the Fixated on Skyrim expansion.

They have said no shouting. The nords may get their racial shout though, but there are no Dragonborn in this time setting. And it takes years of study to learn the most basic shout from the Greybeards. So unless they break canon again and implement the Dragonborn there will not be shouting.

I think you should be able to travel up to the monastery at High Hrothgar and stand at the door and after you knock a graybeard opens it and FUS-RO-DAH's you off the mountain to a painful jagged rock death.

Of course, that's only if you don't bring any offerings of food to them, then if you bring enough offerings then they may let you in and look around, but maybe not even talk to you. Of course if you steal anything or try anything funny they will kill you on sight! The greybeards are pretty much invincilble in Skyrim.
