College: What to bring?

Post » Sat Aug 17, 2013 1:20 am

Title says it. I have a basic understanding of what to bring, but any recommendations would be great! I already have a mini-fridge, clothes, bed stuff, entertainment, but what else?

By stuff, I'm more interested in things I would never have thought of that would just make my life easier. For example, I have crease-free clothing, a thing that lets you make breakfast sandwiches, and a multi-purpose microwave dish (it has a snap on lid that can double as a strainer via a knob and as a bowl)

Congratulations on making it into college pal. I don't have any input other than general congratulations.

Pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, bottle opener... Look, assuming you are not going to college at the South Pole, anything you find you should have brought with you, you can always, you know, go to a shop and buy it. Don't go stressing about what to bring. Clothes, things for making food and a pen.

I'm not stressing. But bringing everything the first go is much more preferred that having to take a bus to the store and hual it all back (neither me, nor my roommates have cars).

This more stems from me always forgetting something.

Dorming?

Shower Shoes.

I'm not joking, by the way, or even being overly cautious. Even the military mandates http://www.basictraining.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=15720 because they understand how bad communal showering is for growing bacteria and fungus.
