I'm buying one or the other. I've always been a windows user and am leaning that way but wanted some input if you don't mind.

as someone in the IT field, I HATE Windows 8 (Software incompatibilities are terrible, not as bad as Vista or ME though) (its like they took an Tablet OS and duck-taped it together with Windows 7... I wonder if Red Green was on the design team)....

as such, I would not get one of those "Windows 8" Tablets out of principle...

Neither. They both svck. IPad because Apple svcks and the M$ device because Windows 8 blows. You want a tablet go with an Android one. You don't like the version of Android that's on it, root it and put a different one on.

I couldn't live without my iPad, so ... iPad!

I detest the Windows 8 interface, although I haven't tried it on a tablet. I guess it boils down to what you want it for. I mainly use my iPad for web browsing and music, but if you want to do something that requires Flash you should probably look towards a different device.
