FFXIV "open beta/early start" was this weekend. My guild said to get on Bohemeth server. I go to the server list and there is about 20-30 servers. I find the Bohemoth server and it is full. No more characters are allow to be made on that server.

I go back to the guild website. They tell me to keep trying, it might take a while to get an opening. I go back and try for about an hour. No luck.

So I go back and let them know I picked Ultima server. I make a character and start to play. It svcks because I am not with my mates.

So, now this morning I find half my guild could not get into the first server, so everyone switched to Hardonian server. I think, great, it's 3:30 in the morning, I'll get a fresh start and get on there.

It's full. No more characters allowed to be made on this server.

THANK YOU MEGASERVER! This will never happen in ESO. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Remember the key word here is "beta."

Dont expect it to be a finshied flawless product.

The final fantasy open beta is more of a soft release that lasts about a week so it's pretty much what the actual game will be.

Two things--

First, this problem is not happeneing in the ESO beta. How do I know? It on the megaserver.

Second, don't make me bust out all the different server horror stories I have had over the years.

It's about time that mega servers came along. Very glad that it was this game that's doing it first.

Pretty much this. Its only so "full" though because of the open status, there probably won't be this many people playing at launch. Especially all trying to funnel in during a short 3 day timespan. People are trying it right now to decide if they want to buy it or not, and then there's the people that are buying it.

SOME of the others could get on Behemoth with us, lol.

Well, I guess as long as everyone gets part of their guild in a server, everything is just fine.
