Better animations?

I don't know if I was the only one who thought this, but the attack animations as presented at Quakecon were incredibly disappointing to me, but when I saw the Flame Atronach video, they seemed much more fluid, although they could just be taking out the parts where it was bad, such as when he did two quick swings it went from first person to third person, and the run animations still seem a bit silly. Also, we get to see the death animation, I liked that one. Thoughts?

Animations are things they work on throughout beta process. What you see now will not be what you see when the game releases. The games animations have looked a lot better since they started releasing videos about the game. I remember what videos all the way back in January and they look better now than they did then. So I expect to see it keep getting more polished the closer we get to launch.

pretty much what the leprechaun said, expect graphics to keep improving in some ways until they reach the time they have to declare a release version

Fluid and aesthetically pleasing combat and running animations are very important to me, and I will just have to assume that they look so crappy currently because the game is still 8 months away.

the animations look similar to the ones from Skyrim but a bit smoother, which is probably what they were going for.

Animations will make or break ESO. The world environment is great but with poor animation, the immersion will suffer.

I refer to RIFT which IMO has great animation. Even the characters at rest behave realisticlly. I believe ESO to be a better game than RIFT, so i really expect better animations. But as someone said, the game is still 8 months away.

BTW ESO developers, there is ALOT to be said for motion capture over "hand drawn" animations of your 3d models.

Here's hoping for the best.
