Dishonoured Sequel

Dishonoured has come to be known as one of the dominant games of the past two years, with it's unique playing style incorporating elements that have previously flourished in other franchises, and with it's rich mythology and fictional history. Bethesda has been quoted in saying that Dishonoured is a new franchise, this would suggest that there is possibly more Dishonoured on the way that is more than the DLC. Having said this, the DLC they provided was exactly what fans would and should expect from DLC in any story driven game.

However, this prompts the possibility of more Dishonoured titles, if so, what will the subject matter be of? I for one, spent the better part of last night unable to sleep and my mind did wander a great distance. A narrative like Dishonoured deserves a few novels under it's belt, and I began to think what stories might be uncovered in such events.

It is mentioned in 'The Brigmore Witches' that Daud, the infamous 'Knife of Dunwall' and murderer of the late Empress, is one of 8 in the world posessing such powers. When looking at a map of the world that Bethesda has so time consumingly created, it is noted that the isles are large and vast and one of the largest continents in that world is in fact Pandyssia which is known to be vastly unpopulated. Thus the notable beings in posession of the Outsider's mark and gifts, would be limited to certain parts of the world.

I thus present a few ideas that might spark the imagination:

1: A novel possibly outlining the backstory of the Outsider and how he came to walk among us.

2: A novel series that explains the 8 people who posess these powers, in my mind, they are:

-Dishonoured: of Corvo Attano who (possibly in a romantic involvement with the Empress) is betrayed and seeks revenge

-The Knife of Dunwall: Daud who commits crimes that he later regrets and must answer for

-The Brigmore Witches: telling of how Delilah came to be in her position with her childhood revealed and her relation to Jesamine Kaldwin and possibly the Kaldwin family

-The Hand that Feeds: of the boy who witnesses the death of Esmund Roseburrow and might give some more insight into the burgeoning of the industrial revolution we find ourselves in, in the main title

-The Ghost of Serkonos: about the man who unites the street children of the southern island, who also raised Corvo before his departure to Gristol, who eventually through an arkane bond, leads the group of children as assassins, much like Daud (possibly once being one of the children)

-The City of Rats: the man who lives on the edges of Pandyssia who is contacted to release the rats into Dunwall and the Empire of Isles

-Guns of Gristol: Vera Moray before she becomes Granny rags and how she had men who literally sparked a civil war over her beauty and how she descended into the fowl being we know her as

-Honour For All: of a princess in a separate continent who rose from nothing to having everything, but the Ghosts of Serkonos rob her of her self made fortune and she is left with nothing. She then is greeted by the Outsider who presents her with powers. She then spends years honing these skills and brings the nation to it's knees before the Ghosts trap her in the Void.

3: A sequel where Emily Kaldwin brings a golden age to the Empire but then wishes to expand, leading an expedition to Pandyssia. Here she awakens an old Witch King who has long been banished to the Void by the ancient trbesmen. The Witch King then swears death upon the Empire and attacks the Isles. It is up to the remaining few who posess the powers of the Outsider, and possibly a newcomer or the Outsider himself to aid in bringing him down.

These ideas are all just food for thought and have not been confirmed nor even hinted at by Bethesda. They are the machinations of my own mind and i wonder what those of you, fans out there, think of such concepts.
