hardcoe Cyrodiil Campaigns

Post » Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:49 pm

From what we understand Cyrodiil will have long campaigns. During that time there will be a goal or goals to accomplish, leading to a winner of that campaign.

I was thinking that there might be a hardcoe version where if you died on that campaign, you were out of that campaign, period. So, literally, if your side won that campaign, your side would be sole survivors.

This would give the feel of real accomplishment to whomever really made it to the end. You could even earn a title for winning such a campaign.

Of course if you died on a hardcoe campaign, you could still continue a normal one.

What do you guys think?

Thats not really hardcoe though, its just basically a death match type set up. Thats not really RvR which this game will have so I see no point in implementing such a system. Maybe down the road if they bring in instanced PvP matches to the game it might fit but as of right now no it doesn't fit the game.

If they created hardcoe Cyrodiil it couldn't be, you died now you can't play here anymore.

I think they would add longer death timers, possible player looting, sparse resources to rebuild keeps, harder enemies in Cyrodiil.

How is it not RvR? It is exactly like normal Cyrodiil pvp except you really die in that campaign.

It's phased. Just like real Cyrodiil campaigns are.

Its not RvR because the point of RvR is capturing and holding territory through keeps, castles and resources.

What you are describing is simple Death Match PvP. In your system you won't have to capture and hold anything, you'll just simply have to kill and then take things by default because there will be no defense left. It will also promote turtling because sides will be afraid to attack at the risk of losing people so you'll just have a huge stalemate with no one doing anything.

Those goals would still have to be met. It is a campaign.

Read the rest of my post, i explain why its not RvR. Don't just cherry pick like you do every time someone disagrees with you.

The whole post you made said the same thing.

Posts deleted and topic staying closed. Arguing repetitive posts is going to get some of you into trouble with the moderators, it is disruptive and derails threads.
