There is Hope for Microsoft

Steve Ballmer is retiring

Stock goes up 7% on the announcement and he is not even out the door yet.

Most the bad decisions made by MS for the past 20 years are because of him (he was President before he was CEO). He ignored what the customer's wanted and needed in an effort to shove his world view down peoples throats. Maybe now, someone will take the reigns that listens to the customers before deciding what is best for them.

I only hope Microsoft can come back. I got to that point where I wanted to see them crumble and burn but now I think I want them back. I want them to succeed but by providing what the consumers want.

He is trying to look all energetic and powerful and he just comes off as an old man who tried to chase down the ice cream truck for is kid and failed because he was so out of shape.

Thank goodness. Can't say I ever liked him. Still, it'll take probably about 2-3 years after Ballmer is gone before his influence finally is as well.
