So I like reading tips on things, and coming up with a few of my own, so I figured: Why not let us all share random tips that we know on various topics in life?
You can share tips on whatever you want... uh... except for.. you know, six, I suppose. And disposing of bodies or evidence. Feel free to discuss tips, like if you have your own variation of it, a better one, perhaps; or you found something useful. If you'd like, you can give your tip a category in brackets (example: [Saving Money], [Cooking]) so people scrolling quickly through the thread can narrow things down.
If someone lists something that's obvious, there's no need to flame them for it.
So I'll start with a few.
- [Clothing/Saving Money] If you're a girl who enjoys unisix shoe brands (Adidas, K-Swiss, Nike, and the like), you can usually find a good discount if you purchase a men's size. I'm not sure of shoe size conversions in different countries, but I've found Adidas and K-Swiss shoes for up to and over half off because my shoe size translates to US Mens' 5.5 to 6, which isn't commonly sold and tends to go on discount. I haven't heard yet if this will work on men seeking womens' size 12 and up, though I would imagine a man's foot may be wider in some cases.
- [Cooking] This one may be obvious, but if you find that you love sunny side up eggs but don't like fiddling with them being undercooked or having to flip them over, or burning the bottom of the egg waiting for it to cook fully, putting a lid on the frying pan you're using will help the egg cook much faster and to whatever level you'd like.
- [Exercise] If you're starting to exercise or just need to challenge yourself, trick your mind into doing more reps by counting each number twice and halving the number of reps you do. For example, your mind will likely find it easier to do 20 push ups if you count to ten by saying "One, one. Two, two. Three, three," than counting straight to 20.
- [Gifts] If you have a best friend, sibling, significant other, or the like that you often do gift exchanges with, and want to make sure you surprise them, but want to make sure you get something they like, exchange lists of 5-10 items that each of you would like. That way, it's still a surprise since they won't know which item they're getting, but you won't have to worry about disappointments.
- [Weight Loss] If you tend to overdo your portions, use smaller utensils and plates to eat out of to trick your mind into still eating everything on your plate, but taking longer to eat less food.
And yeah.
